Hammary Furniture Company, a division of La-Z-Boy Incorporated, was created in October of 1943 by Hamilton Louden Bruce, and actually began its life as a manufacturer of canvas-covered lawn chairs. A change of direction in 1947 saw the company become an instant, and lasting, sensation in the manufacturing of occasional tables.
Today Hammary Furniture Company has broadened its lines to include not only occasional tables, but also home office, casual dining, and bedroom furniture. Tables are available in a number of styles including rectangular, square and oval cocktails, end tables, lamp tables and sofa tables. There are also a number of finishes available including various woods, wrought iron, cast iron, and cast aluminum. Table tops can be designed in solid wood, glass, or marble.
