Cox Manufacturing was founded in 1932, and has become known as one of the most sought after names in accent furniture. Initially established in Hickory, North Carolina, by William Cox, Cox Furniture Manufacturing gained a reputation for providing unique and small-scaled “boudoir” furniture. Purchased by the Romeo family in 1972, Cox Manufacturing still continues to create beautiful and stylish pieces for today’s scale-conscious homeowner.

Cox Furniture Manufacturing builds the frames for its pieces out of maple, birch, mahogany, and many other hardwoods. Carefully hand-crafted and precise cover patterns are placed over high-quality polyurethane foam cushions and Dacron/cotton filling materials in order to ensure long-lasting style and comfort.

Special touches include thirteen wood finishes and five wrought iron choices that can be applied to any exposed frame structure. Wood surfaces may also be hand-distressed at a nominal price. Cox Furniture Manufacturing provides the buyer with an extensive choice of in-house fabrics and leather cover options—you may even provide your own material, a service known as Customer’s Own Material or COM. Plus, every skirted piece in the Cox line, with a few exceptions, can be manufactured with your choice of Lined Kick Pleat, Shirred, Fashion Flair Shirred, or Box Pleat styling.
